SINGING TOGETHER
Community Song Circle at Access Alliance
A joyful, inclusive singing space for newcomers and the wider community
Join us on Tuesday afternoons at AccessPoint on Danforth for a welcoming, intergenerational circle of shared song. Together, we explore simple, heartfelt music that brings people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds together. No musical experience is needed—just a willingness to listen, sing, and connect.
What to Expect
Each week, we gather in a circle to sing, move, and create music together. Sessions begin with grounding and gentle warm-ups, followed by “repeat-after-me” songs taught by ear. Everyone is invited to take part in ways that feel right for them—singing, clapping, listening, dancing, or simply being present.
We’ll share songs from around the world that celebrate peace, resilience, and community, and participants are encouraged to bring songs from their own cultures to teach the group. There’s also time to chat, enjoy snacks, and connect informally. In warmer months, we sometimes take our singing to the rooftop garden, where movement, sound, and fresh air come together for calm and sensory renewal.

Guest Artists
Throughout the season, guest artists join our regular circles to share songs and stories from their musical traditions. Their presence inspires dialogue, learning, and cultural exchange, enriching the circle’s shared repertoire.
Big Sing Celebrations
Midway and at the end of each session, we host Big Sing gatherings where participants share the songs we’ve learned with the broader Access Alliance community, friends, and family. These joyful events are open to everyone and help spread the spirit of connection through music.
